I have always been into fitness from a very young age, starting with ballet, gymnastics and then as I got older fitness classes, dance and Pilates. In later years, I developed a love of Kundalini yoga and Hatha yoga as well as Pranayama breathing and meditation.
After completing my yoga training for children ages 5-12 years old which was truly an uplifting and enlightening experience, I am keen to share the yoga journey with children. I practice yoga myself every day and it is part of my daily routine; I never miss a day if I can help it.
The past 10 years, I have been working in primary schools and have initiated yoga and mindfulness within schools. My passion and interest for well-being and yoga has allowed me to experience life-changing results through regular yoga practice both at home and "The Unwind Yoga Studio". I am accredited by "The Complementary Medical Association".
Also I offer USUI Reiki Level 2 treatments.
I want to share this knowledge with children, so they can also receive the benefits both to the mind and body. Particularly now with the situation we find ourselves facing in the world. Regular practice will help in many ways to help strengthen the mind and body, concentration, coordination, focus and motor skills.
Yoga can help with relationships and creativity, overall self-confidence, body awareness and respecting others. All of these techniques learnt from practicing yoga will help with emotions and mental health. Namaste.
